How can I pay my assessment in instalments?

You can choose to pay your water authority tax in up to 8 instalments with direct debit. This way, you always pay on time. You can set this up in minutes in My Waternet.

You chose the number of instalments: from 1 up to a maximum of 8. You can easily change your payment preference in My Waternet. Log in for Taxes and keep your DigiD at the ready.

Set up your payment preference as soon as you receive your assessment. Do this within 4 weeks after the date of your assessment. If you wait too long, your changes will only take effect with next year's assessment.  

Examples

  • If you chose to pay in 1 instalment, you will pay the entire amount in one go.
  • If you chose to pay in multiple instalments, you will pay a fraction of the amount every month. Let's say your assessment is 240 euro. If you chose to pay in 8 instalments, we will withdraw 240/8 = 30 euro every month for a duration of 8 months. If you chose to pay in 3 instalments, we will withdraw 240/3 = 80 euro every month for 3 months. 

We will deduct these amounts from your bank account around the 28th day of the month.
